Employee provident fund planning
This calculator estimates a fund supported by employee and employer deposits. Enter the salary base and contribution percentages from your employment or fund documents. The sample percentages are illustrative. Employer vesting, recognised-fund status and withdrawal conditions are separate matters that this projection does not determine.
Contribution and growth method
Monthly employee deposit equals salary × employee percentage; employer deposit uses its separate percentage. Salary increases once after each 12 months. The annual return is treated as an effective rate and converted to a monthly equivalent.
The model adds contributions at the selected month boundary, applies growth and carries the closing balance into the next month.
Worked contribution example
At a monthly salary of ৳50,000, a 10% employee contribution is ৳5,000. A separate 10% employer contribution adds another ৳5,000. With no salary increase and zero return, 12 months add ৳120,000 to the starting balance. Positive returns and later salary increases change that projection.
Bangladesh scope and limitations
This is an editable Bangladesh planning model. It does not apply Indian EPFO, EPS pension allocation or a statutory Indian interest rate. It assumes uninterrupted employment and full employer deposits. Tax, fees, vesting losses, partial withdrawals and contribution caps are excluded. Use your fund’s actual terms when comparing the estimate with an annual statement.
